  • I work with therapy clients in California and Texas. Therapists are only allowed by law, to work with residents of states we are licensed in. 

    Coaching and business coaching clients can be licensed anywhere in the world. 

  • Therapy must be provided by a licensed mental health provider who is using evidence based clinical practices to help someone with mental health and psychological struggles and needs. There is some area of their life that is being impaired due to these struggles.

    Coaching is not therapy. Coaching is skills based, targeted behavioral changes. The coaching client is overall doing well in their life and doesn’t have a mental health condition impairing their needs and daily life. Coaching may be for you if you want to work on specific goals that are not related to mental health diagnoses. Such as dating goals, losing weight, career changes, or life transition struggles.

    Coaching can be anywhere in the world. During your intro call you may ask if you would be a fit for coaching vs therapy.

  • Like most specialty providers, I do not participate in any insurance plans. Paying-out-of-pocket is a great option for people who want maximum privacy, confidentiality, and flexibility.

    I’m considered an out-of-network provider, which means I’m not in-network with any insurance companies. There are a myriad of reasons I’ve chosen not to work directly with insurance, including my commitment to protecting your privacy and providing care that isn’t dictated by insurance requirements or forced diagnoses. 

    That being said, if your insurance plan includes out-of-network mental health benefits, you may be eligible for partial reimbursement. Often 60-80% reimbursement! Your out-of-network benefits are usually pretty straightforward to use.

  • Cost:

    Individual - $205

    Couples - $275

    Parent Coaching - $225 

    Coaching: Dependent on scale of services, retainer, coaching plan etc. Feel free to inquire with contact form for more information. We can have a discovery call to see what services or coaching plan might fit your needs best. 

  • In some cases you may be eligible to use out-of-network insurance benefits. You will be responsible for paying for each session in full at time of appointment. If applicable, I will provide a super bill each month that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. 

    If you have out-of-network benefits, they typically will reimburse you for 60-80% of the cost of each session. It’s always a good idea to call the number on the back of your health insurance card listed under Member Services. You might have more coverage than you realize!

    To find out, call the number on the back of your insurance card and ask:

    Do I have out-of-network outpatient mental health coverage? Am I able to use these benefits for telehealth? 

    What is my out-of-network deductible? 

    How much of my deductible has been met this year? 

    Do I need a referral from an in-network provider to see someone out-of-network? 

    What percentage of outpatient psychotherapy sessions are covered per session? 

    How much will I be reimbursed for a 45 minute psychotherapy session (CPT code: 90834 or 90837)? 

    How do I submit claim forms for reimbursement? 

    How long does it take for me to receive reimbursement? 

    Are there any session limits or pre-authorizations required?

    If you'd like to use superbills, let me know! Just note: Using insurance requires me to include a mental health diagnosis on the superbill. That diagnosis will stay on your medical record for life, so something to think about for your personal privacy.

  • I reserve a limited number of sliding scale spots in my schedule. If you do not think you can afford my full fee, please don’t hesitate to contact me!

    If I am unable to see you, then I may be able to help you find someone who will work for you.

  • As a Therapist, I have a collaborative, non-judgmental, and relatable approach that will make getting started a bit easier. During our first session or two, I’ll ask you a bunch of questions to get a better picture of you and your life. I will listen to you without judgment. We will come up with goals together of what you hope to accomplish in therapy.

    During therapy we will work together to help you better understand yourself. You will gain perspective, new insights, learn to challenge your negative thoughts, receive feedback, and develop new coping skills. Sometimes therapy can be really hard, creating the changes you’ve been wanting for yourself isn’t easy. But I’m here to help support you throughout the process, helping you achieve the change and growth you are looking for.

  • I meet with the majority of my clients on a weekly basis. I recommend that all new clients commit to meeting weekly, for usually the first month to 6 weeks. This will allow us to build rapport and the therapeutic relationship so you can start seeing progress right away.

    Ongoing assessment of clinical needs occurs throughout therapy, and I may recommend increasing or decreasing dependent on your needs.

  • My door is always open! Therapy tune ups are a great and helpful place for people who are in a more maintenance phase. I may end with a client and then they pop in for “tune up” sessions a few times a year, depending on the situation. You are always welcome to send me a message if I have seen you previously, and we can get you scheduled. 

  • Your appointment time is reserved just for you! I require at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. Without that notice, the full session fee will be charged. No-shows are also charged the full fee.

    That being said, I know life happens! I offer one “freebie" per client. After that, any late cancellations, reschedules, or no-shows will be charged in full. 

    Special consideration may be given in the case of an emergency or sudden illness, at my discretion.
